Kids Return
Born in 1997, Adrien and Clément both grew up at the dawn of the new millennium, with its fantasies and disillusions. The year of their birth is also marked by a musical effervescence – the French Touch and the rise of Britpop: two major movements that would infuse their first recordings two decades later.
In 2022, Kids Return released its first album ‚Forever Melodies‘ which marked the beginning of the adventure. In just a few months, the duet transitions from a filmed live session at the legendary Motorbass studio to shows at prestigious Paris venues like La Maroquinerie and La Cigale sold-out. Rapidly, the band flies away to tour across North America, from Los Angeles to Montreal, including a very special night playing at the iconic Red Rocks natural amphitheater at the heart of Colorado. Kids Return’s revelation in France takes the two friends all the way to Tokyo to perform on the Summer Sonic stage in 2023, Japan’s most important festival. Several awards and events embellish the rise including: representing France at Eurosonic where the band received an MME Award, two invitations at the famous French TV program Quotidien (awarded as the Best New Music Act of 2023), and multiple collaborations with Saint Laurent.
After this first album drew by a French and Californian pop heritage, the duo turned their gaze across the Channel, in England. This gave birth to “1997″ and its more visceral and refined compositions. On November, 22, Kids Return will unveil Time to Time, an obsessive, raw track that confronts the relentless passing of time. In a time where everything moves fast, the duo chose to slow down, letting their sharp guitars, tense rhythms and grandiose reverbs fully unfold. Composed and recorded between the peaks of the Pyrenees and the iconic Studios Saint Germain, the duo shapes their new sonic universe, perfectly in tune with their era.
Since its inception, Kids Return places great importance on the visual aspect of their music, they’ve surrounded themselves with longtime friends: Tara-Jay Bangalter leading the artistic direction and supported by Luca Lellouche. The band plans an extensive tour across Europe and the US, including support for Polo & Pan’s US dates and a major performance in Paris at L’Olympia in May 2025.
