A couple of days ago we were rehearsing through tears to try and prepare for a gig with the sole purpose of being able to help contribute to relieving the financial burden for Matt’s family and giving our brother the send off he deserves.
Upon the realisation that playing a show without him and attempting to sing his deeply personal songs was going to be too difficult at this stage, we thought that fundraising instead was a more appropriate way to generate the funds necessary to make a contribution and help his family.
Your kindness and generosity has exceeded our expectations; it will ease the financial pressure for Matt’s family and will bring some comfort at what is an immensely traumatic time.
There are still people contacting us saying they would like to donate and the page will be left up for a while – please continue to spread the message far and wide and bring a small beam of light for Matt’s family into what is an incredibly dark time.“

der Tod von Young Rebel Set Sänger Matt ist auch eine Woche später immer noch so unendlich traurig.Wir hatten uns sehr auf die Konzerte im Januar gefreut, die nun natürlich nicht mehr stattfinden können. Zusammen mit den Veranstaltern der Shows (..) haben wir nun folgendes überlegt, denn wir möchten seiner Familie in dieser Zeit natürlich helfen.
- natürlich könnt ihr eure Tickets dort zurückgeben, wo ihr sie gekauft habt – ihr erhaltet dann euer Geld zurück;
- bei Tickets aus dem GHvC-Shop könnt ihr euer Geld zurückbekommen, indem ihr uns eine Mail mit eure Bestellnummer und IBAN oder Paypal-Adresse schickt, in diesem Fall könnt ihr aber auch auf eine Rückgabe verzichten und wir spenden das Geld, das ihr uns gezahlt habt, an Matts Familie;
- wer sein Ticket über CTS (also Eventim & Co) gekauft hat und trotzdem spenden möchte, muss sein Ticket bitte zurückgeben, und kann den rückerstatteten Betrag selbst direkt hier spenden (eine Spende von CTS direkt ist leider nicht möglich).
Natürlich kann auch jeder, der kein Ticket hatte, weiterhin hier für die Familie spenden.
